WHEN JAGUAR HUNTERS MOVE IN FOR THE KILL

This is a story of ugly speculation. It starts with this Jaguar XK 120 Roadster that was offered for sale in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for approximately $13,000 around the end of October 2010. As can be seen from the ORIGINAL AD it was a pile of rusted out metal that was originally in an open field. Not only was this car clearly missing major parts but above all,  it was a non matching numbers car**.  At a later date it was moved indoors where we had a chance to see it and take a few pictures of it.
**A non matching numbers car is one that does not have either the original engine or the original gearbox. In other words non original components.

So where is the car now? The car in exactly the same condition as shown above is now resting in a fancy showroom in Germany with the initial asking price of 32.700 EUR or approx. $43,000 (Recent price drop to 28,900 EUR as of April 20/2011). A 200% net profit from the asking price in October 2010 when it was in Toronto.  In addition the German ad claims that the car spent 30 Years of its life indoors in a Garage.
